How we work
The Foundry Standard
Selling products is easy. Committing to how they’re run is harder. Every managed Foundry customer receives these eight things, whether we run one system for them or the whole environment. If we ever don’t, you’ll have this page to point at.
01
Ownership
Your technology remains yours.
Domains, Microsoft or Google tenant, cloud accounts, website and data are registered and held in your name. Foundry administers them; it never owns them.
02
Security
MFA, endpoint protection and secure configuration.
Every managed environment gets the same baseline: multi-factor authentication on every account that matters, managed endpoint protection on every device, and the default settings attackers rely on switched off.
03
Monitoring
We know when something breaks.
Devices, servers, backups, certificates and websites are monitored continuously. Most problems are opened as a ticket by our tooling before anyone in your business notices them.
04
Backup
Critical data is protected.
Every system that matters has an isolated, versioned, ransomware-resistant backup — including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, which are not backed up by default.
05
Recovery
Backups are actually tested.
A backup nobody has restored from is a hope, not a plan. Restores are test-performed on a schedule and the evidence is recorded, so you know whether your business can recover.
06
Documentation
Your environment is documented.
Accounts, devices, licences, vendors, network, DNS, credentials and runbooks live in one documented place — which you can see, and which comes with you if you ever leave.
07
Support
You get a human when you need one.
One support channel, staffed by engineers who already know your environment. No call centre script, no ticket that vanishes into a queue.
08
Review
Your environment continually improves.
Regular reviews cover security posture, licensing, cost, risk and the roadmap. The environment you have in a year should be better than the one you have today.
Onboarding
The Foundry Journey
Taking over a business’s technology is not a matter of swapping a logo on the helpdesk. This is how we go from first conversation to a documented, secured, managed environment — and it’s the same seven steps every time.
01
Discover
Understand the business, the people, the pressures and the technology it already depends on.
02
Audit
Assess identity, devices, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, backups, domains, DNS, cloud, licensing and security — and write down what we find.
03
Plan
Agree the migration and improvement roadmap: what changes, in what order, and what it will cost.
04
Migrate
Take administrative ownership of the environment — accounts, devices, domains, suppliers — with everything documented as we go.
05
Secure
Apply the Foundry security baseline: MFA, endpoint protection, secure configuration, backup and monitoring.
06
Manage
Operate the environment day to day: support, patching, monitoring, starters and leavers, vendors and renewals.
07
Review
Review security, cost, risk and roadmap on a regular cadence, and keep improving what you own.
Step one is a conversation
The Journey starts with discovery and audit. Your first call with Foundry is the first 30 minutes of exactly that.
