Your first call with Foundry
Half an hour with an engineer, not a salesperson. We look at your current technology environment, identify the biggest risks, inefficiencies and unnecessary costs, and tell you what we’d do about them — whether or not you ever hire us.
What you walk away with
- A written summary of what we found, in plain English, prioritised by risk
- The three things we'd fix first, and why
- An honest view on whether Foundry is the right fit — including when it isn't
- No proposal unless you ask for one
What we look at
The same ten areas we audit at the start of every engagement, condensed into a first pass. You don’t need to prepare anything; if you can share a screen, we can see what we need.
| Area | What we check |
|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace | Admin accounts, MFA coverage, sharing defaults, mail security, licensing waste. |
| Identity | Who can log into what, leavers still active, shared logins, privileged access. |
| Endpoints | Device inventory, encryption, endpoint protection, supported operating systems. |
| Patching | How updates actually happen, and what has been missed. |
| Backup and recovery | What is backed up, whether it has ever been restored, and how long recovery would take. |
| Cybersecurity | The handful of controls that stop most real-world attacks — and which are missing. |
| Domains and DNS | Who owns your domains, when they renew, and whether your email is properly authenticated. |
| Cloud and hosting | Where your website and applications live, who can change them, and what happens if they go down. |
| Licensing and cost | What you pay for, what you use, and the gap between the two. |
| Suppliers | How many providers you depend on and who is accountable when something breaks. |
Who it’s for
Foundry works with UK businesses of every size and sector that would rather one accountable team ran their technology than juggle a dozen suppliers — from a sole trader getting a domain, email and website set up properly, to a multi-site firm handing over its whole environment.
Whether you have two laptops or two hundred, the call is the same: what you have, what’s at risk, and what we’d do about it.
Why we start this way
Because it’s the first step of how we onboard every customer anyway — discover, then audit — and because a business that has seen its own risks written down clearly is a much better customer than one that’s been sold to. There’s no charge and no obligation. If we find nothing wrong, we’ll say so. That happens less often than you’d hope.
